/reuters/ DORTMUND, Germany: a German robber short of cash during a taxi ride held up a gas station to pay his unwitting driver, police say. The man asked the driver to stop outside the gas station, robbed the cashier at gunpoint and returned to the waiting taxi with several hundred dollars, a police spokesman said. The driver knew nothing of the crime and helped his well-dressed customer make a clean getaway. "He had no problem paying the driver since he had plenty of money for the fare, said police spokesman Manfred Badecke."
