Prostitutes in Romania have started offering discounts to students and soldiers. The workers in Mehedinti county say they started the special offers to boost trade. One says she refuses to give them the discount unless they have valid ID.

Prostitute Eugenia Radu, 26, told the Romanian daily newspaper Evenimentul Zilei: "For Romanian clients who have student cards or who are soldiers I have very low prices. "But I don't serve them unless they show me their ID."  ¶ 2/15/2002 04:25:00 PM
